Using the Product Roadmap

Viewing the Roadmap

The Roadmap shows what we’re building and what’s coming next:

  1. Navigate to Roadmap from the main navigation.
  2. Browse features organized into columns:
    • Backlog: Ideas we’re considering
    • Planned: Features scheduled for development
    • In Progress: Currently being built
    • Done: Recently shipped features

Click on any item to see more details and join the discussion.

Voting on Features

Help prioritize what gets built next:

  1. Find a feature you care about on the roadmap.
  2. Click the upvote button to cast your vote.
  3. The more votes a feature gets, the higher priority it becomes.

You can vote on as many features as you want. Your votes help us understand what the community needs most.

Submitting Feature Requests

Have an idea for improving IdeaBase?

  1. Click Request Feature on the Roadmap page.
  2. Enter a clear, descriptive title for your feature.
  3. Add details explaining the problem it solves and how it should work.
  4. Submit your request for review.

Tips for great feature requests:

  • Focus on the problem you’re trying to solve.
  • Be specific about the desired outcome.
  • Explain why this would help you and others.

Request Review Process

After you submit a request:

  1. Our team reviews the submission.
  2. If approved, it appears in the Backlog for community voting.
  3. If declined, you’ll receive a note explaining why.

Requests may be declined if they duplicate existing items, conflict with our direction, or aren’t feasible. Don’t be discouraged—we appreciate all feedback!

Commenting on Roadmap Items

Join the conversation about features:

  1. Click on any roadmap item to open it.
  2. Read existing comments to see what others think.
  3. Add your own comment with suggestions or use cases.
  4. Reply to others to continue the discussion.

Your input helps shape how features are designed and prioritized.

Staying Updated

Keep track of product updates:

  • Check the roadmap regularly to see progress.
  • Watch for items moving to “In Progress” and “Done.”
  • Look out for announcements about new releases.
