Browsing the Discover Feed

The Discover page shows public ideas from the IdeaBase community:

  1. Navigate to Discover from the sidebar.
  2. Browse ideas sorted by Trending, New, or Top.
  3. Click on any idea to see full details, including AI-generated analysis.
  4. Upvote ideas you find interesting to show support.

Public ideas display the creator’s profile, description, and community engagement metrics.

Engaging with Ideas

Show your support and provide feedback:

  • Upvote: Click the upvote button to boost an idea’s visibility.
  • Comment: Share your thoughts, ask questions, or offer suggestions.
  • Reply: Respond to existing comments to continue the conversation.
  • Like comments: Show appreciation for helpful feedback.

Your engagement helps idea creators understand what resonates with the community.

Using Match to Find Collaborators

The Match feature helps you discover potential co-founders and collaborators:

  1. Go to Match from the sidebar.
  2. View idea cards one at a time.
  3. Swipe right (or click the heart) if you’re interested in collaborating.
  4. Swipe left (or click X) to pass.
  5. When you match with someone, you can start a conversation.

Match considers your skills and interests to show relevant opportunities.

Starting Conversations

Once you’ve matched with someone:

  1. Navigate to Messages from the sidebar.
  2. Find your new conversation in the list.
  3. Introduce yourself and share why you’re interested in collaborating.
  4. Discuss ideas, skills, and how you might work together.

Tips for great first messages:

  • Be specific about what caught your attention.
  • Share relevant experience or skills you’d bring.
  • Ask thoughtful questions about the idea.
